Since 1928, York Scaffold has provided and installed scaffolding on buildings and structures throughout the New York City area. A sampling of these scaffold installations would include as diverse a listing as: office buildings, private homes and apartment buildings, statues and monuments, schools and churches, subways, power plants, court houses and theaters.
While most of York’s scaffolding is installed on building exteriors for new construction or renovation purposes, York Scaffold often provides scaffolding for interior purposes. Such scaffolds may be installed in boiler rooms or shaftways to provide access during a building’s mechanical upgrades, or to provide access to walls and ceilings during lobby renovations in occupied buildings.
Our experience has made us sensitive to the many unique situations which may present themselves during a scaffold installation. Among these are the impact of a building’s historical designation or the need to work “off-hours” to accommodate an occupied building’s tenant traffic.
During their site visits, York’s professional Estimators work with our customers to determine how to design the scaffold to best meet the specific needs of the contractor on each job.
York Scaffold uses its own experienced Employees to erect its scaffolding. Our scaffold erectors have been trained in compliance with the NYC Department of Buildings 32-Hour Scaffold Erector requirements.
